Ham, mozzarella,onion and red pepper muffins
Ingredients
- pizza dough
- 1 onion
- 1 red/yellow/green pepper
- 450 gr cheese
- 300 gr chicken/ pork ham
- white flour
- tomato paste
- thyme
- salt
- optional* mushrooms, pepperoni, bacon, olives
So, first things first , as always, we preheat the oven at high temperature. Secondly , grab that pizza dough and stretch it out as much as you can , but not too thin because if so, the composition will leak all over the tray. Use the flour so the dough won’t stick to the counter.
Once the dough it’s all stretched out, rip apart 12 individual pieces for every muffin in the tray and place them in the muffin tray, shaping the dough to the form of the muffin cup. Meanwhile the dough is resting, slice the ham, the pepper, the onion and all the optional ingredients. In a bowl , mix the tomato paste with salt the thyme and use that as a base as you’d make a pizza.
Fill every cup with a table spoon full of that mix and then add all the sliced ingredients that you wish. And the last step is adding the cheese on top so that it can melt nicely. Pop the tray in the oven for 20 minutes and there you have mini pizza muffins 🙂
